From ambition to action

The Prime Minister has pledged to "end rough sleeping" and adopt a "national housing first philosophy".

Our Breaking the Cycle campaign calls for frontline services to be given the tools to turn these ambitions into action.

That's not just about funding. A new, more efficient and effective funding system is needed. But we also need all of government working to prevent homelessness in the first place.

Anyone working or volunteering with a Homeless Link member can sign up to get involved in the campaign.

The change the Breaking the Cycle campaign is calling for

Our country's has high-quality homelessness services with skilled staff to end and prevent homelessness. But the Government's current approach is failing to use that asset, through an inefficient and ineffective approach that has seen homelessness rise and the services best placed to prevent it squeezed financially.

Our campaign calls for:

#1: All arms of government to be truly accountable on ending and preventing homelessness.

#2: Build a funding system that works to end homelessness.

#3: Address the homelessness emergency and prevent support services from closure.

#4: Deliver system-wide transformation to enable a country free from homelessness.
