Design With Us

Our members give us insight into the day to day reality of the services that support people experiencing homelessness, and our training and learning courses and resources aim to support those working in and designing services to deliver the best outcomes.

Our Knowledge Hub is the hive of this guidance, built around the resources that we have developed in collaboration with our members and partners, and from our team’s experiences working in the sector. We are always looking at ways to develop our content and ensure that staff working in the homelessness sector are getting the information they need and in the format that is most useful for your work.

We have been working with Do Good Research over the last couple of years to understand these needs. This latest round of work is focusing on how we can redevelop and reinvent our guidance information so as to meet the needs of our users in a challenging and fast-paced working environment. Search habits are also rapidly changing and we want to ensure that our Knowledge Hub keeps up with changing behaviour.

This is an opportunity for you to tell us how you find, access and use information online in your daily work, and to inform the ongoing development of our Knowledge Hub.

Why get involved?

  • Have your say by sharing your ideas, challenges and what you need from us
  • Take part in 1:1 interviews, design feedback sessions, or creative workshops
  • Help us understand what’s working and what isn’t - so we can make meaningful, lasting change together

We know you are busy and we value your time, so we are offering £50 thank you payment (or charity donation) for taking part in a 1:1 session.

Who’s it for?

Anyone working in homelessness services — in any role, at any level — who cares about making change happen. All you need is a willingness to share, listen and learn together.

How it works

  1. Register your interest
  2. Answer a few questions so we can match you to the right sessions
  3. If there’s a good fit, we’ll invite you to join a research session at a time that works for you
  4. Take part in a 1:1 session remotely for 1 hour to share your thoughts and feedback
  5. Stay involved (optional)
