This is course will provide participants with a greater understanding of how the criminal justice system operates. Delegates will understand that offending behaviour is a specific need and how they can support people away from patterns of offending behaviour.

What will you learn?
This course will cover:
- the view that offending behaviour is a specific need
- a good overview of the criminal justice system and criminal justice process
- the roles and responsibilities of key agencies and partnerships working with people who have offended
- ‘desistance’ and what you can do to support people to move away from patterns of offending
- how the homelessness and criminal justice sectors can work together more effectively.
- developing confidence and ability to provide services that are trauma-informed, person-centred and safe for all.

Sessions are not recorded. Slides will be sent electronically.

This course is also available to be booked for staff teams of up to 20 people, to be delivered online "in-house" in live interactive sessions on dates to suit your organisation. This course can booked to be delivered in-person (subject to government advice).
