Who is this session for?
London based organisations offering any service to women at risk of or experiencing homelessness.
What will it cover?
We know that women experience homelessness differently to men. Women are often invisible to services, and they may not receive the support they need.
The Women’s Census collects robust data on women experiencing homelessness. This data has been instrumental in the commissioning of specialised gender and trauma informed services in London. Homeless Link will talk about the Gendered Lens Framework, which helps homelessness services to develop gender and trauma-led services for women.
We will also hear from two London-based services: St Mungo’s Safe Space (LB Camden) and the Non-Verification Pilot Project (LB Islington). Both services are excellent good practice examples of commissioned women's services in London.
During and following on from the event, we hope that you will feel inspired to reflect on the way your organisation can support women in a more gender and trauma informed way.
