Staff can be faced with dilemmas and can sometimes find themselves in tricky situations where they are uncertain of the most appropriate course of action. This course will enable participants to explore these critical issues.

Who is this course for?

For frontline staff and managers looking to improve practice within their service.

What will you learn?

By the end of the course participants will have:

  • Reflected on their own experiences of, and perspectives on, managing professional boundaries
  • Explored the reasons why we need boundaries, why we might sometimes cross them and the potential consequences of a boundary crossing
  • Reflected on a number of real life ‘boundary’ scenarios and established ways of managing them
  • Discussed and agreed good practice guidelines and appropriate policies, procedures and codes to manage professional boundaries.
