Managing money with a bank can be confusing and frustrating, particularly if you're also experiencing stressful, chaotic or traumatic life events. This session aims to demystify some of the key blockers and pain points in the banking system which affect socially excluded groups; opening an account, navigating Universal Credit and managing money when facing vulnerable circumstances.

By the end of the session you will:

  • Know the banking options available to people without a photo ID or fixed address
  • Have a clear understanding of what banks can to do support customers in vulnerable circumstances
  • Feel equipped with signposting advice and guidance for people struggling to access or manage Universal Credit.
