Creative activities offer many benefits to participants. They can increase confidence, self-esteem and social skills, and provide opportunities for future education, training and employment. The arts provide inspiration and motivation for change as well as a positive channel for self-expression. It is particularly valuable for people who may struggle with more conventional forms of communication.
Get Creative: Arts for All (2011-2015) was supported by the Paul Hamlyn Foundation and the Arts Council. Working in partnership with Streetwise Opera and homelessness services across England, the project developed resources to support frontline services to deliver arts activities, demonstrate their outcomes and secure funding.
