This course will support delegates to understand the challenges facing women experiencing homelessness and examine issues such as domestic abuse, mental health, sexual violence and contact with children. It will enable delegates to use the learning environment to explore gender and trauma-informed approaches to supporting women experiencing homelessness and to think about how the support you provide can develop more opportunities for women.

- Managers and frontline staff from any homeless service
- Staff from other sectors who have contact with women experiencing, or at risk of experiencing, homelessness.
What will your team learn?
Through this course, your team will:
- Be aware of a range of support needs of women experiencing homelessness and multiple disadvantage, including domestic abuse, sexual violence and exploitation, and consider how your service can meet these needs.
- Understand the role you play in developing more opportunities for women
- Have explored how gender and trauma-informed principles can be integrated into existing practice
- Know what effective partnership working looks like and have information on national resources.
- Understand how to support women experiencing homelessness to stay safe
- Discuss how to support women through pregnancy and contact with children
How will it be delivered?
This one-day course can be booked for a team of up to 16 for in-person training or up to 20 for online training.
If you need something different, we can tailor the course delivery to suit you, with some potential adjustments in cost.
