A follow-up course to Trauma-informed: Theory and Principles, building practical ways of working with people affected by trauma.

Who is this course for?

This course is designed for people that have attended the Trauma-informed: Theory & Principles course and wish to build their knowledge and skills with practical tools.

What will I learn?

  • Application of Trauma-Informed Approaches to working cultures – what has been achieved so far and what challenges remain
  • Developing your ‘Trauma-Informed toolkit’ – practical and impactful tools
  • Exploring key concepts from Trauma-Informed psychological models
  • Responding to service users in crisis: Validation & Distress Tolerance techniques
  • Team formulation as a response to complex needs
  • Development of individually tailored goals and actions to embed practice.

Please note that, due to the sensitive nature of this training course, delegates might feel anxious or upset by some of the course content if it relates to their own experiences. They must be aware of the course content beforehand, to be emotionally prepared for the day. Please ensure that all delegates read this course outline ahead of the training. They will be able to step out during the session if needed. There is no requirement for delegates to share personal experiences on this course.

Bookings for larger groups
