Current work
This is an extremely complex legal area, and the complexity often leads to confusion and inconsistency between local authorities and different service providers about the support that can be provided to people with unsettled or restricted eligibility.
Homeless Link in partnership with the No Accommodation Network has explored achievable and long-term changes that can be made in policy and practice to improve the support and outcomes available for this group. Our report, Unlocking the door: A roadmap for supporting non-UK nationals facing homelessness in England captures the lessons learnt in this project and puts forward an ambitious but achievable roadmap for local authorities and Government to sustainably tackle homelessness among non-UK nationals with restricted eligibility.
