Substance and alcohol use

You've come from the skills framework. Here are some learning and development recommendations to build on your understanding of substance and alcohol use for people experiencing homelessness.

The understanding of the complexities of substance and alcohol use including the physical and psychological effects on individuals using. Applies this knowledge in approaches to supporting individuals through harm reduction and treatment services.

Team Training

Our team training is delivered live online or in-person by an expert Trainer. You'll be given the opportunity to build on your understanding of substance and alcohol use for people experiencing homelessness with your peers in an interactive and safe space.

    This course will introduce the main issues associated with drug and alcohol use among people experiencing homelessness. You will explore the reasons for drug and alcohol use and learn how to recognise the resulting effects. You will develop your professional practice and learn skills to help you support clients who use drugs and alcohol.
